Oak Burl Bowl with Malachite Inlay

I turned this piece of Oak quite a while ago and couldn't decide of how I wanted to finish it. It recently surfaced among all the other unfinished pieces lying around the shop and I figured it out. By its nature, the burl had a lot of open cracks throughout the grain creating their own interesting pattern. To enhance this I added Malachite inlay. The green Malachite is set off beautifully against the deep brown Oak. This small bowl has a diameter of about 4 1/2" and stands about 2" high.
