Burls are like gold to wood turners. Cherry burls are even better. The grain in burls are, well, not really grain-like. They produce the most unique patterns, and cherry is such a beautiful wood. This piece stands about 2 3/4" high and 4 1/4" wide with the opening at the top 1 1/2". A void in the burl presents itself as a opening in the side; another fun feature of burls. Beeswax and walnut oil produce a natural, satin finish.
